The
Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC) is a non-profit
organization committed to promoting and supporting the domestic and
international economic development of Hispanic businesses and
individuals, and to serve as a link between non-Hispanic entities
and the Hispanic market in the state of Georgia.
The GHCC
offers its members access to a variety of valuable resources,
information, support services, and networking opportunities. In
addition, the GHCC advances the interests of its members by
advocating for the rights of the Hispanic business community through
the pursuit of initiatives that shape business-pertinent government
policies at the local, state, and national levels. Also, in 2001 the
GHCC established the Hispanic American Center for Economic
Development (HACED), which is the educational arm of the GHCC. With
the purpose of advancing the formation and growth of Hispanic
businesses in the state of Georgia, HACED offers more than 80
educational seminars not only in Atlanta metro area but throughout the State of
Georgia.
Georgia’s
Hispanic community is a vibrant one. With an estimated
statewide population of 770,816 in 2008, Hispanic buying power in
the state rose from 1,328,827 in 1990 to 13,606,097 in 2007.
Georgia is the
10th largest Hispanic market in the United
States, at 13.6 billion for 2007,
compared to its 1990 rank of 19th. Georgia has the highest
rate of Hispanic owned business start-ups in the eastern seaboard,
with growth of 15% - 18% annually. In Atlanta, ten of the top twenty-five minority
owned firms are owned by Hispanics.
The GHCC
welcomes memberships to businesses and individuals dedicated to the
goals and ideals of the Chamber. Your membership not only provides
the Chamber the opportunity to join in partnership with you, but
also allows us to have a greater voice for action. We invite you to
