Misión
La
Camara Peruana Americana de Negocios de Georgia
, EEUU (PABCG) es una organización sin fines de lucro
orientada a la promoción de negocios, inversiones, y turismo entre
EEUU y Peru.
Como
parte integrante de la Cámara de Comercio Hispana de Georgia (CCHG),
la PABCG y sus miembros cuentan con los beneficios y las ventajas de
pertenecer a una de las organizaciones más prestigiosas y
reconocidas del sudeste de los Estados Unidos. Con más de 20 años de
trayectoria y más de 1,000 miembros, entre los que se encuentran la
mayoría de las compañías Fortune 500 situadas en el estado de
Georgia, la CCHG ofrece a la PABCG y a sus miembros un foro para la
generación de relaciones económicas fructíferas.

Ambassador
Charles Shapiro
leads the Task Force working to secure congressional passage of the
Free Trade Agreements with Peru, Colombia and Panama. Congress passed the Peru
agreement in December 2007; the President sent the Colombia
agreement to Congress in April 2008.
Shapiro
was Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Department of
State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs (2005-2007) and U.S.
Ambassador to Venezuela (February 2002 until August 2004).
Shapiro
joined the Department of State in 1977. In addition to his posting
as Ambassador to Venezuela, he has served as the Deputy Chief of
Mission at the U.S. embassies in Santiago, Chile and Port of Spain,
Trinidad and Tobago.
Other overseas postings include El Salvador and Denmark. His Washington assignments
include Director of the Office of Cuban Affairs as well as various
assignments in Public Affairs, International Narcotics and Law
Enforcement Affairs and Western Hemisphere Affairs.
Ambassador
Shapiro was the recipient of a Presidential Meritorious Service
Award in 2005 and has received various Department of State
performance and honor awards.
In 2007 the Government of Chile decorated him with the “Orden
al Mérito.” His foreign
languages are Spanish and Danish.
A
native of Atlanta, Shapiro is a graduate of the University of
Pennsylvania, Georgia State University, and the Department of
State’s Senior Seminar.
