Greetings!

Thank you for your continued support and contribution of time, talent and resources to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC), the Hispanic leader in economic development.

We offer a special thank you to those who were able to attend our GHCC member appreciation Holiday celebration.  With your generous contributions, we will be able to assist families in need by providing toys this Holiday season.  The toys will be distributed through the Hispanic Down Syndrome Association and the Salvation Army.

In addition, at the celebration, we received information on: health benefits for GHCC members; a new affinity program with BB&T; and, other information on discounted services and programs that will be available to you beginning in January.  If you are interested in providing discounted services or programs to GHCC members, it is not too late.  To be included, please have your proposals in by Monday, December 22, 2009.  We are especially interested in providing discounted services in accounting, branding and marketing, legal services, and payroll and human resources, but are happy to accept any discounted services or programs on behalf of our GHCC members.  Also, please take the time to fill out the short business development survey below.  As you can see, we are also interested in providing business development opportunities beginning in January.  The information you provide will assist us in determining which programs and seminars to offer, and it identifies sponsoring and teaching opportunities.

At the celebration, we also discussed the upcoming Membership Drive which officially begins January 5, 2009.  If you are interested in participating as an individual or as a company, please contact us.  The rewards include gift cards, gift baskets, round trip airline tickets, and honorary sponsorship and marketing opportunities for participating companies.

For more information on the New Member Benefits Program and the Membership Drive, please contact Membership Director Rodrigo Infante at (404) 929-9998 or jrivera@ghcc.org.  In addition, once both are launched in January, information will be available on the website.

If you haven't gone to the GHCC website lately, please do so.  You will notice a new look and feel, more information to assist you with job and wealth opportunities, additional resources, and more information about our events and programs.  More information continues to be uploaded daily, so please check back regularly to see what opportunities you may be able to take advantage of.  Phase II of the website will be launched in March, putting you directly in touch with other GHCC members for more business to business opportunities.

Thank you to Rocio Woody, Founder and President of The Road to Recovery, Inc., and the President of the Peruvian-American Chamber of Commerce, for an insightful and informative speech at the quarterly Women Speaker Series breakfast. Thank you to Community Affairs Manager Glen Wilkins of Wal-Mart for providing us with information on vendor opportunities with Wal-Mart at the quarterly Supplier Diversity Series luncheon.  Please see the website for more information on both events.

On the international side, Peruvian-American Chamber of Commerce President Rocio Woody and I just returned from the APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation) CEO Summit 2008 in Lima, Peru.  We provided a debriefing presentation on the Summit at the GHCC offices.  If you would like more information on this Summit, please go to the GHCC website for photographs and a power point presentation.  The Summit was most informative and we were able to forge relationships with key international players to bring more international job and wealth opportunities to you.  We will provide more details at a later date.

Lastly, the GHCC 5th Annual Legislative Appreciation Breakfast will be held on January 15, 2009.  This first annual event of the year marks our 25 years of service.  The breakfast will provide information about the GHCC legislative agenda and will highlight our elected officials and judicial officers.  This is your opportunity to meet and hear from your representatives.  We hope to see you there!

On behalf of the GHCC team, Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Best Regards,
Tisha R. Tallman

Dear Member,

Thank you for your continued support and contribution of time, talent and resources to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC), the Hispanic leader in economic development.

It is a very exciting time for us as we move into our twenty-fifth (25th) year of service.  Moving forward, we pledge to provide you, our valued member, with service excellence.  Within the next six (6) months, we will create and launch a New Member Benefits Program that will allow you to select a level of membership that best fits your business needs.  In the next few weeks, you have the opportunity to assist us in the creation of this new program by responding to a membership survey. In addition, we are constructing a new, more user friendly website with a case management solution.

The new website will assist you in locating a business opportunity, a workshop or seminar, a networking opportunity, or to directly assist you with member to member transactions. With a new email address designed to respond to your suggestions, comments or queries at administrator@ghcc.org, you can expect a twenty-four (24) hour reply from our staff.

We pledge to you that we will continue to prioritize market dominance on the domestic and international levels.  Through our domestic and international connections and strategic alliances, we will continue to bring job opportunities to our members, and Latin America businesses to Georgia.  We will continue to offer our nationally recognized small business incubator and more than eighty (80) seminars and workshops through our educational arm, Hispanic American Center for Economic Development (HACED).  Further, you will soon enjoy more opportunities as we add a second level of seminars and workshops.

I am honored to be your new President and CEO, and I look forward to working with all of you.  ¡Mil gracias!

Best Regards,
Tisha R. Tallman

Thank you for your continued support and contribution of time, talent and resources to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC), the Hispanic leader in economic development.

We are looking forward to receiving your ads for the GHCC 2009 Membership Directory.  Beginning this year, the directory will have more information and your business will be categorized in a way that

will facilitate member to member contacts.
Thank you for responding to the membership survey.  Your comments will be taken into consideration as we continue to work on creating our New Member Benefits Program.  The New Member Benefits Program will allow you to select a level of membership that best fits your business needs. If you haven't responded, you still have time.  You can call us with your responses, or simply go to the website.  We value your thoughts.

Thank you to all who participated last week in a new GHCC sponsored event, HABLA, Hispanic Achievement Business and Leadership Awards.  HABLA is a new event that highlights the accomplishments of our community during Hispanic Heritage Month.  It was a unique and historic event as we celebrated the first year.  Congratulations to this year's award recipients!  We extend a special thank you to Lanza Group for sponsoring and organizing the event, and to the major event sponsors; Verizon Wireless, Mundo Hispanico, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Thank you to Westminster Schools for hosting our Quarterly Membership Meeting.  At the meeting, UPS launched our first affinity program.   The program allows members to save and for GHCC to receive royalties every time a member uses UPS services.  Thank you UPS!

You will soon notice that our website is "under construction," but still accessible.  We will have Phase I of the new website completed by the end of the year.  There will be a new look and feel, and more resources and information to assist you in locating job and wealth opportunities.

I look forward to seeing you soon at one of our upcoming events.  Please see the attached details.

Best Regards,
Tisha R. Tallman
