With the generous support of the Community Foundation of Northeast Georgia, individual donors, and in collaboration with Fifth Third Bank, the GHCC COVID-19 Hispanic Small Business Relief Initiative has secured funds to provide mini-grants and financial literacy courses to Latina-owned businesses that have been most impacted by the COVID-19. This initiative is intended to support ten (10) Latina Entrepreneurs in Gwinnett County that have been shut out of government loans or other funding during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This initiative provides:

  • $1,000 grant
  • Financial literacy courses facilitated by Fifth Third Bank (in English)
  • One free GHCC membership for business owner
  • Promotion and exposure of their business on EME and GHCC social media channels and website
  • Networking opportunities

To qualify, the business must:

  • Be Latina-owned for-profit business
  • Be located/operated in Gwinnett County
  • Has had a loss of income as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Have an annual revenue between $25K – $100K
  • Have at least 1 full year of business operations
  • Have not received any other funding relating to COVID-19 relief

Document Requirements:

  • Proof of Gwinnett County business address (as indicated by a signed lease, home office documentation, bill or bank statement)
  • 2018 or 2019 Tax Return OR P&L financials
