Maria Bastidas is the VP of Digital Content at MundoHispanico.com, the #1 Independently Owned Spanish Language Digital Media Company in the US. As digital media expert, she has been the head of the newsroom as it transformed from Print to a Digital Media. In the last 5 years, she has developed and managed the team of creators and journalists in charge of the news, digital videos, live streaming and Native Campaigns, working along with National clients (Toyota, NASCAR, NFL, Macys) to develop branding content and videos to reach the Hispanic Market in the US.

Maria Alejandra also lead the video initiatives that allowed MundoHispanico to win the first 6 Emmy Awards presented to a Digital platform in the Southeast. She is deeply involved in the Georgia Hispanic community since 2000, when she came to the US from her native Venezuela. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. She lives in Duluth, Georgia with her husband and three children.
