Socorro Rodríguez is the Credit and Collections Manager at Georgia Power, the largest of the four electric utility companies that comprise Southern Company, serving 2.25 million customers. In her role, Socorro leads the company’s collection efforts, ensuring the protection and security of company and stakeholder revenue.

With nearly two decades of experience at Georgia Power, Socorro has held various positions in Customer Operations, Customer Service, and Regional External Affairs. Before her current role, she served as the LaGrange Area Manager in Regional External Affairs, collaborating with local and state leaders in the West Region to foster community and economic development in Troup, Meriwether, Harris, and Talbot counties.
Socorro is a graduate of several prestigious leadership programs, including the Cultivating Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI), Leadership Troup, and the Georgia Economic Development Academy. Her dedication and leadership have been recognized with the EME Latina Corporate Leader Award. She is also the proud recipient of the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
Beyond her professional achievements, Socorro is deeply involved in her community. She is the Chair-Elect of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and an advisor to the CHLI program. She has also served on the board of the Meriwether County Chamber of Commerce and participated in the LaGrange-Troup County Education Task Force, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and the Elevate Together Grant Selection Committee.
Socorro is happily married to Lester and is the proud mother of two sons, Jason and Israel.
